Priya
Hi there, I’m Priya! I am so honored and excited to be considered.
I feel like I am the best version of myself when I am around kids, and have known for most of my life that I wanted to be a mom.
I am open to being a parent however it may come, and have thought for a long time that through adoption I could hopefully start my family. I feel like I’ve had time to really understand myself and grow into a person who can provide a loving and supportive life. I have a well-established career and financial stability that will provide many opportunities for your baby. I have loved the experiences and adventures that I have had on my own, but I’m ready to share these experiences with a little one.
Thank you for taking the time to get to know me.
The Heart of Who I Am
I was born in New York, grew up in North Carolina, tried out California for a few years, and have settled in the Midwest.
There were times when being Indian-American felt isolating or frustrating. There are so many things that are great about my culture, and seeing greater representation and appreciation of it as I’ve grown up has made me so proud. I will work hard to make sure my future child understands their heritage and appreciates diversity in all aspects of culture.
I have a career that still feels meaningful and remains interesting to me after all of these years. I’m a doctor for people with high-risk pregnancies. I’ve lost count of the number of mothers I’ve cared for and babies I’ve brought into the world, but remain in awe of pregnancy and childbirth. I’m also humbled by the trust that people place in me at such a vulnerable and life-changing time. This job helps me maintain perspective when life feels challenging and I’ll encourage my child to find a career that they feel passionate about.
I will teach My son or daughter:

Where I Call Home
While I’ve found something to like about each place that I’ve lived, my current home is special because I’ve lived here for 11 years. I love experiencing all that the city itself has to offer in terms of all kinds of museums, interesting plays, and so many ways to listen to music. A favorite activity is summer concerts in the park – the parks are another feature that make this city such a wonderful place to live and to raise a family.
I particularly love my colorful neighborhood. It’s got a diverse and accepting feel, and is filled with independent shops and small restaurants.
It’s perfect for walking around and close to the lakefront path. In the summers there’s a great little Farmers Market nearby and I can walk to baseball games. And there is a really great elementary school one block away that my neighbors’ children attend. Over the past few years I’ve worked to find art, furniture, and colorful accents that make my home reflect my personality. My goal was to create a home that is welcoming and warm for a baby to grow up in.
My Hobbies & Interests
I like to be physically active, and outside if possible. Jogging, walking, tennis, yoga, and boxing class are all in the rotation.
I’m a sucker for any sort of game. Board games, jigsaw puzzles, brain teasers, you name it. I love a good game night!
While I’ve always been a doodler, I’ve reconnected with my love of drawing and painting in recent years. Last year I painted the covers of my niece’s favorite books for her wall.
I try to break up TV and scrolling time with a good book. As a kid I was always reading and it’s been nice to get back to it.
All of my friends will tell you I love fashion and design. I’ve had a lot of fun decorating my home.
Who doesn’t love vacation? Sometimes I want to just relax on a beach, other times I want to visit family or friends, or explore nature or experience a new country.
I started watching the Amazing Race a while ago with my dad, and it’s so fun to debrief with him about the episodes. Top Chef is another favorite, and my city has so many interesting restaurants to try!
Watching basketball during March Madness is one of my favorite times of the year. Going to sporting events is really fun too; I used to go with my family and would love to take my child.

My Heartfelt Thank You
I’ll admit that this whole process of writing about myself was a little strange, but I understand why it’s so important. You have to choose the path that your child will take, which is not an easy task. I am so happy and excited thinking about being a parent to your child, and I am so grateful to you for considering me.
I promise to do my best to provide your child with a life that is filled with love, laughter, and opportunity.
