About Us

Before we met, Dan used to sit on his surfboard in the ocean, look at the sunset and pray for a farm girl from the Midwest to start a family with who was genuine, had good values and a strong work ethic. And then a farmer's daughter (Michelle) came along! On our first date, we both felt so comfortable and as if we have known each other our whole lives. We laughed until we had tears coming out of our eyes when we discovered that somehow we were wearing the exact same outfit, down to a safari pocket on the sleeve of our shirts!

We tried starting a family, but we spent 6 years navigating the medical world of infertility. Through many ups and downs, we supported each other and never lost sight of our dream to have children. Adoption is a part of our family. Dan's grandfather was adopted, his sister was adopted as an infant, and Michelle's sister placed her child for adoption as an infant.

We know that love makes a family.

We also know through their experience that positive, open dialogue surrounding adoption is important, and that it's also important for a child to know where they came from. We look forward to sharing this journey with you.

Home Sweet Home

We live in a small coastal town in california, with large cities within a 20-30 minute drive.

We have many growing families on our block with little kids and families that we have gotten to know. Our home is also a short walk away from beautiful ocean beaches, where there is endless play for the children!

We both work from home with a flexible schedule - this would make us able to be present and available to play with your child and take care of their every need. Dan is a self-made entrepreneur, starting his own brokerage from the ground up to help Veterans find homes. Michelle is in the helping profession – she teaches couples how to communicate effectively and resolve conflicts, facilitating peace and love in the families' homes.

Winnie (our cat) makes us laugh every night when she sprints up and down the hallway full speed! And we have a large family. If you choose us, your child will be loved by 6 grandparents, 20 uncles, 14 aunts, 20 cousins. We give each other hugs and gives kisses when we say hello, goodbye, and even when we say goodnight and good morning!

There is no shortage of saying “I love you" in our family.
